Percipient is an independent strategic marketing advisory working with growing Irish businesses that need senior marketing leadership without the full-time overhead. Based in Waterford, we work with businesses across Ireland.

The founding premise

Why Percipient exists.

Most businesses are doing some version of marketing. The activity is there. What is usually missing is any commercial foundation underneath it. No clear picture of who the actual customer is, what drives their decisions, or what would make them choose you over a competitor. Without that, marketing becomes assumption-led activity that is difficult to evaluate and harder to defend.

Percipient was founded because that gap is consistent, costly, and almost entirely avoidable. What businesses need is not more marketing activity. It is the strategic foundation that makes activity purposeful, built on what the data actually says, on a genuine understanding of the market, and on experience of what moves the right buyers to act.

about the Founder​

Nadia Niemann

Nadia Niemann founded Percipient after 13 years working across marketing, e-commerce, and commercial strategy in businesses ranging from Irish retail groups and agribusiness, to global engineering firms and multinational distributors, across sectors including construction, agribusiness, logistics, and industrial supply.

Those years were spent on both sides of the marketing function, both building strategies and delivering them, and implementing systems and being accountable for what they produced. It included leading digital transformation programmes, managing agencies and internal teams, and presenting commercial outcomes at board and leadership level across Ireland, Europe, and North America.

What that experience produced is a specific capability: the ability to read a business’s commercial position clearly, identify where marketing is and is not contributing to it, and build the strategy and operational foundation to change that. Percipient exists to make that capability available to businesses that need it without the cost or commitment of a full-time senior hire.

Who this is for.

Percipient works best with businesses that have a genuine commercial problem to solve and want an honest assessment of it. That means clients who are prepared to hear that something is not working, who want to understand why, and who are ready to act on the answer.

 

It is not the right fit for every business. If the priority is validating decisions already made, maintaining the appearance of marketing activity, or avoiding the conversation about whether the current approach is working – there are plenty of options better suited to that. Percipient is not one of them.
